[edit] What is the Nordic Region?

Nordic comes from the word for "North." This group of countries is closely related to the "Scandinavian Region" except that Finland and Iceland are not considered part of the Scandinavian peninsula. For our purposes, the Nordic Region includes the following countries:

Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden

[edit] Baltic Countries

Our project includes Baltic countries as well. These are Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. We have chosen to include these in our project because they are closely related to the Nordic countries.
